The Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation hosts a successful fundraiser recently.

The foundation's fifth annual "Sweetheart Swing" took place at the Hannibal Quality Inn on February 14. The dance, along with other heart health activities in February, raised over $12,500 for the foundation's HelpingHearts Fund.

"We are so thankful to those who supported our Sweetheart Swing," said Wendy Harrington, President/CEO of the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation. "Their support of the event is in fact support of our cardiology patients as 100% of the event's proceeds benefit the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation's HelpingHearts, the Cardiology Services Patient Assistance Fund. This fund will assist in fostering the healing process of our community's cardiology patients in their time of need."

Along with music by the Smooth Sounds Band, a highlight of the Sweetheart Swing was a vocal performance by the Hannibal Heartbeats, a group of Hannibal Medical Campus professionals, including Linda Dinges, Grace Keith, Karen Hiller, Carol Wilhoit, Julie Leverenz, Susan Wathen and Sherri Robison.
