The 19th annual Hannibal Cannibal 5K/10K/15K run and 5K walk returns to downtown Hannibal Saturday, July 5.

Registration for the race is underway. If you sign up before June 23, the entry cost is $20, from June 24 through July 2, the cost goes to $25. From July 3 through race day, the registration fee is $30. You can register online at www.hannibalcannibal.com.

The race begins at 7 a.m. in the downtown area and proceeds south along Highway 79 and, of course, includes a climb up Lover's Leap.

There is a training program available if you need to get in shape for the Cannibal. The Couch to Cannibal program meets Tuesday afternoon and Saturday mornings, or you can find a program guide on the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation's website, Facebook page or Twitter feed.

The Hannibal Cannibal is a fund raiser for the HRH Foundation, with the proceeds going to the Foundation's Believe Campaign.
