Sign-up is underway for the 2016 edition of the Hannibal Cannibal.

The 21st running of the Cannibal steps off Saturday, July 2 during National Tom Sawyer Days in downtown Hannibal.

And, for the fourth year, Advance Physical Therapy has signed on as official sponsor of the race.

The Hannibal Cannibal consists of a 5/10/15k run and a 5k walk at 7 a.m. There is also a Fun Run following the Cannibal at 9 a.m. for children ages ten and under.

When you register for the Hannibal Cannibal, you get a performance tee, cinch sack race bag and a custom finisher's medal.

Registration is now open and you can register online at hannibalcannibal.com, or you can get entry forms at the concierge desks at Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal Regional Medical Group or the Hospital Foundation offices. There is an early registration fee of $25 before June 20.

According to a press release, proceeds from this year's Cannibal benefits Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation's Back to BETTER Campaign, which is raising funds to assist in offering Inpatient Rehabilitation Services at Hannibal Regional.
