Hannibal Man Hurt in Ralls County Police Pursuit

A Hannibal man suffers minor injuries in a police pursuit that ended with a two car crash on Flint Hill Road at Route O in Ralls County at 1:39 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports that 32 year old Andrew Bonsee of Hannibal, driving a fully marked police vehicle, attempted to make a traffic stop on a car driven by 20 year old Austin Wittingman of Cissna Park, Illinois.

Wittingham failed to stop. In the course of the pursuit, Wittingham slowed abruptly to make a left turn and was struck by the Bonsee car.

A passenger in the Wittingham car, 20 year old Montel Strickland of Hannibal, was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
