A 27-year-old Hannibal man has been arrested for burglary. The Hannibal Police Department says that officers were called to Abel's on Broadway just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday to investigate a burglary in progress. A broken window was found on the front door and a man inside was inside allegedly destroying property.

Police say 27-year-old Ted Leon Kealen, Jr. surrendered to police about fifteen minutes after officers arrived on the scene. He was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Marion County Jail.

On Wednesday, September 09, 2015 at 1:17 am, Officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to Abel’s Convenience Store at 1201 Broadway for a report of a burglary in progress.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a broken window on the front door of the closed business and a man was observed inside destroying property.  After approximately fifteen minutes, the man came out of the business and surrendered to officers.  The man was identified as 27 year old Ted Leon Kealen Jr. of Hannibal, MO.  Ted was transported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department on a 24 hour hold for Burglary.  Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Ralls County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway patrol assisted at the scene.
