Hannibal City Council members approve a bid for repair work on a city owned building rented by General Mills.
Heimer Construction’s bid of just over 71-thousand dollars is the only bid for work on the ventilation system to address condensation issues on the walls. The bid is about half of what engineers estimated the project would cost.

Council members also heard updates on a couple major… ongoing projects. Repair work on the North Street Storm Sewer is expected to continue for a couple months. BPW’s cloramine replacement project is running a couple weeks behind schedule but contractors expect to catch up.

The council also voted to support an effort to create a national holiday honoring native Americans.
