Artist Ray Harvey announced the completion of the project Wednesday.

Harvey began the mural back in October, but some earlier than expected cold weather put the project on hold until spring, with cool and rainy weather and COVID-19 considerations causing further delays until about two weeks ago.

Harvey says even though this mural is complete, he has at least a couple more projects to do in Hannibal, beginning next week.

The city hall mural shows depictions of Mark Twain, Molly Brown, a Mississippi Riverboat, a Huck Finn-like character, and the character Jim from the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

The mural cost $15,000 to create, which Harvey raised in a social media campaign last summer.
