A late inning rally comes up short as the Hannibal Cavemen lose to the Jackrabbits in Kokomo, Indiana 7-3 Friday night.

Kokomo took the lead in the fourth on a two-run homer by first baseman Caleb Stayton.

The Cavemen tied the game in the seventh on a sacrifice fly off the bat of right fielder Matthew Green and a ground out from designated hitter Devin Bafia.

The Jackrabbits took the lead for good in the bottom of the seventh, scoring four unearned runs after two were out.

Hannibal scored once more in the eighth on an RBI single by first baseman Romero Harris.

The loss drops the Cavemen to 1-4 for the second half and 9-26 overall.
