The Hannibal Cavemen chalk up two wins Tuesday night at Clemens Field.

The evening began with resuming an earlier game with the Kokomo Jackrabbits that was suspended in the seventh inning because of rain with the score tied 1-1.

Hannibal scratched out what turned out to be the winning run in the eighth on two walks and a passed ball, taking a 2-1 lead.

Michael Greene held the Kokomo scoreless for the final two-and-a-third innings and got the win.

In the regularly scheduled game, Hannibal jumped on Jackrabbits starter Ryan Fritze early, scoring two in the first on an RBI triple by right fielder Ryan Snyder and a run-scoring single by DH Emilio Lollio. The Cavemen plated three more in the second, the first coming home on a wind pitch and the last two coming home in throwing error.

Hannibal added two insurance runs in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by third baseman Joe Redburn and a base hit by first baseman Tyler Niemann.

Meanwhile, Cavemen pitchers Jake Eikleberry and Ryan Furtney held Kokomo to one run and five hits.

The wins improve the Cavemen's record to 5-14, with Kokomo at Clemens Field again Wednesday night. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. To listen to the webcast live, click here.
