Hannibal’s Board of Public Works will be conducting smoke tests on the sanitary sewer system.
B-P-W officials say the test is in areas generally north of Pleasant and west of Country Club on the east side of McMasters and generally north of M-M on the west side of McMasters. Sump pump inspections are also planned. The tests help identify where unauthorized water is entering the sanitary sewer system. The smoke blown into manholes and sewers is non toxic and leaves no residuals or stains. If smoke does enter your home or business during the tests… contact the contractor staff on the street or call the B-P-W.
