The Hannibal Arts Council Children’s Program Committee invites children to attend First Friday Art Adventure from 4-6 pm September 4 where they will view the current exhibit in the gallery, titled AVIARY, to get inspired to create their own bird drawings. The project will be led by local artist and HAC volunteer Jean Meyer.

First Friday Art Adventures are designed for children ages 6 to 12 and are held on the First Friday of the month unless otherwise noted. The adventures are from 4-6 pm and are held at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main St.

The cost for the Art Adventure is $10 per child ($5 per child for HAC members). Registration is required. A limited number of scholarships for free registrations are available. Sponsors to keep the workshop series accessible and affordable are the Hannibal Arts Council, George H. Riedel Private Foundation and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency. To register, contact the Hannibal Arts Council at 573-221-6545 or reservations@hannibalarts.com.
