A Quincy man pleads guilty to endangering the life of a child and possession of a weapon by a felon for his role in the death of a seven year old girl.

32 year old Daniel Roberts entered the guilty plea Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court. A charge of obstruction of justice was dropped. Court records indicate that Roberts gave a three year old a loaded .22 caliber rifle and the child pulled the trigger resulting in the death of seven year old Melina Torres.  Roberts was sentenced to four and a half years behind bars.  Other family members still face charges in Torres death following a family gathering near Liberty on May 20th.
