Great Girlfriend Getaway, Big River Comic Con Postponed

A couple of April events that normally bring lots of people to Hannibal are the latest victims of the coronavirus pandemic.

Officials with the Big River Comic Convention said Monday that, after holding out for their April dates to the best of their ability, they have been forced to reschedule the second annual event.

The Big River Comic Convention was to have been April 17th through the 19th. It will now take place October 2nd through 4th in the Recreational Complex at the Tabernacle of Praise.

It was also learned Monday that the Historic Hannibal Marketing Council’s annual Great Girlfriend Getaway, scheduled for April 24th to the 26th, will now happen August 7th through the 9th.

The marketing council says that if you have already purchased tickets for a getaway event, you can have your tickets transferred to the new dates, or you can email info@historichannibalmo.com for a refund.
