Brown says the new HISET test in 2014 will be similar to the GED the first year, but in subsequent years it will be computer based-- meaning computer and keyboarding skills will then be necessary to successfully complete the exam.  However, she warns-- avoid any on-line GED tests you come across--they are NOT valid.  You must test at a testing center.
