Gavin Makes First Court Appearance on Murder Charge

A Quincy man arrested Monday in connection with a 2015 murder made his first court appearance Tuesday.

54-year-old Steven Gavin was in Adams County Court for a bond hearing on four counts of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery.

Gavin is alleged to have shot 48 year old Carlous Sires, Sr. in his residence on North 4th St. on November 23rd, 2015.

Judge Amy Lannerd ruled that Gavin’s bond should remain at $5 million and scheduled a preliminary hearing for May 24th.
