Free Online Course on Emancipation Proclamation Offered

The University of Illinois-Springfield is offering a free online course about the Emancipation Proclamation. The class will explore what happened to the country before and after emancipation. President Abraham Lincoln signed the proclamation 150 years ago, declaring that slaves in rebel states were free.
