
Former Quincy Resident Drowns in Bathtub in KC, Mother Attempts Suicide
Law enforcement officials are investigating the apparent drowning death of an eight-year-old boy and an apparent suicide attempt by his mother Tuesday in Kansas City.
Police were called to a residence about 11 a.m. Tuesday and found eight-year-old Audrick Warren in a bathtub. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
About an hour earlier, 27 year old Aushena Warren, Audrick’s mother was rescued by firefighters after jumping off a bridge about 80 feet into the Missouri River.
Information on her condition was not available, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The Warrens are former Quincy residents. Audrick Warren is being brought back to Quincy for funeral arrangements.
