Five Arrested in Monroe County Meth Raid

A lengthy investigation leads to an early morning raid and five drug related arrests in Monroe County Friday.

The Courier Post reports that more than a dozen officers from multiple agencies raided a house and travel trailers east of Paris just before 7 a.m. Friday.

Taken into custody were 40 year old Joseph David Bias of O’Fallon, Missouri, 42 year old Shannon Dale Smith of Paris and 31 year old Edelina Sue Harrison, 43 year old Michael Gary Hicken and 39 year old Karena Sue Davis, all of Mexico, Missouri.

The raid also resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The five are in the Monroe County Jail on a 24 hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
