Fire Damages LaGrange Body Shop

Fire Thursday afternoon damages a LaGrange auto body shop.

Firefighters were called to Stubs Autobody on Route B shortly before 1 p.m. Firefighters say sparks from a welding torch fell into gasoline that had leaked from a fuel pump.

Firefighters from LaGrange and Canton fought the fire. Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies and Lewis County Ambulance crews were also called to the scene.
