FBI Warns Missouri About Upcoming Election Fraud Dangers & Safety
In just over a month, Missouri residents will go to the polls and let their voice be heard by their vote. The FBI is now issuing warnings to residents and campaign about dangers in the upcoming election and concerns about safety.
The FBI has a bulletin on their website about election crimes and safety and it includes many things that Missouri residents need to know. Some of these are common sense reminders, but with the volatility of recent elections, it's vital to understand how to avoid fraud in November.
Valid Missouri voting locations
The FBI says that you can access reputable voting locations at eac.gov and usa.gov/how-to-vote, but they warn that what they refer to as "bad actors" that will use social media to spread disinformation about where polling places are and when the polls close.
Valid methods of voting
The FBI warns that you cannot vote online or by text on Election Day. Only soldiers deployed overseas have exemptions where their votes can be counted by email or fax. Regular Missouri citizens do not have this ability.
Threats against Missouri election workers
The FBI is concerned about the potential of threats against election workers. They emphasize that any threats against a worker at a poll or anyone trying to commit election fraud is in danger of a federal crime as the upcoming election will involve national candidates.

It is a federal offense if you falsely say you're a citizen when you register to vote, but are not. You're also violating the law if you attempt to vote more than once or vote under someone else's identity.
