Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Quincy [Updated]

Wollbrink, 21 years of age, of 1313 N. 26th, Quincy, IL., was driving a 1998 Honda motorcycle southbound on 18th St., ran a red stoplight at Maine, and collided with a 2007 Hyundai SUV which was westbound on Maine and driven by Martha R. Pappenfoht, 55, of Quincy. Wollbrink was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital at 2206 hrs of 09/09/13.
(Original Story)—A motorcyclist is dead following a collision with an SUV at 18th and Maine Monday evening. Quincy Police say they tried to stop a motorcyclist for a traffic violation at 18th and Broadway. The motorcyclist fled south on 18th at a high rate of speed and collided with an SUV at 18th and Maine at 9:46 p-m. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital at 10:06 p-m. Police say the SUV driver was taken to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries and treated and released. Name of the motorcyclist is withheld pending notification of family members.
