Emerson Found Guilty Following Hannibal Shootings
A Monroe County jury returned a guilty verdict early Friday morning on charges stemming from a March 2016 shooting in Hannibal.
Jurors found Carl Emerson Jr. of Hannibal guilty of assault in the first degree, armed criminal action and two counts of assault in the second degree. The verdict came in at 1:05 a.m. followed eight hours of deliberation. The March 28th 2016 shootings in Hannibal wounded 18 year old Angelica Cadwell, 19-year-old Phillip Egbert and 17-year-old Benjamin Gillum. Sentencing for Emerson is scheduled on December 1st.
