Elsberry Woman Killed in Accident

(Lincoln County, Mo.)-- An Elsberry woman was killed in a two-car accident Tuesday morning.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports a car driven by 84-year-old Doris Farmer of Elsberry and a van driven by 28-year-old Gene Fox of Bowling Green collided.

The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 61 and Route B east of Silex at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday.

The patrol said Farmer tried to cross U.S. 61 from Route B and pulled into the path of the other vehicle. Farmer was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
