Eikleberry Goes Distance, Cavemen Shut Out Kokomo 3-0

The Hannibal Cavemen's starting pitching turned in a masterful performance Sunday night.

Jake Eikleberry scattered four hits and struck out seven as he went the distance in a 3-0 win over the Kokomo Jackrabbits.

Hannibal got all the runs they would need in the sixth on a double by second baseman Sam Griggs and an RBI single by catcher David Hayes. Hayes came around to score on a fielder's choice by left fielder A.J. VanMeetren.

The Cavemen added an insurance run in the seventh as center fielder Justin Blechle walked and scored on a double by Griggs.
