Dwayne Brandon Sentenced for Attempted Murder

A Quincy man gets prison time in connection with a stabbing incident last October.

In Adams County Circuit Court Thursday, Judge Scott Larson sentenced Dwayne Brandon to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Brandon was found guilty of attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery in January.

Brandon is alleged to have stabbed a woman on October 2nd at an apartment in the 800 block of Jackson.

Brandon will have to serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.

He was also ordered to pay over $41,000 in restitution and court fees.
