Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say DWI saturation patrols are planned around northeast Missouri in July.

Captain James Wilt says counties where saturation patrols are planned include Lewis, Monroe and Ralls.

Troopers will focus on selected highways with the goal of removing impaired drivers, hazardous moving violations, speeding and other traffic violations that cause traffic crashes.

The Patrol also urges you to buckle up. Troopers say around 63% of fatal crash victims in Missouri who were required to be restrained were not at the time of the crash.
