A local food pantry is expanding its hours.

Starting Monday the Emergency Food Pantry at Douglass Community Services is expanding its operating hours, now open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to Douglass Executive Director Stephanie Cooper, their board of directors decided on the expansion to give better and more frequent access to food and personal hygiene items for families and seniors.

Anyone needing food can access the pantry once a month. If you need assistance, bring an identification card to the pantry at 711 Grand Avenue in Hannibal.
