COVID-19 considerations have resulted in the temporary closing of Douglass Community Services in Hannibal.

Officials with Douglass announced Sunday that, because of a possible COVID-19 exposure, their offices would be closed all this week. They said Douglass’ board of directors was closing the offices for the safety of their staff and clients and they would reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

This also means Douglass Community Services’ USDA summer lunch program will not be providing meals Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.

And, the commodities distribution schedule at Douglass has been revised. The next food distributions will take place June 10th, 11th and 12th and 15th, 16th and 17th.
