Feeling Dirty? 3 Missouri Cities Among the Filthiest in America
Spring is a time of cleaning for many. Hopefully some of those "many" are in 3 Missouri cities that were just listed among the 100 most filthy places in America.
Lawnstarter just shared a ranking which included a lot of dirty science about what American cities need to clean up the most including "pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction". With those numbers crunched, 3 Missouri cities appear among the top 100 dirty places in the United States.
This is the air above the dirtiest Missouri city on the list.
Here are the 3 dirtiest Missouri cities which all came in among the 100 dirtiest in America.
Kansas City, Missouri came in as the 44th dirtiest city in America, with Springfield following closely behind at #46 and St. Louis amazingly appearing much cleaner (so to speak) as the 92nd dirtiest American city. I say "amazingly" as it's common knowledge about how much pollution hangs over the St. Louis skyline practically every day of the year.
The real surprise is that pollution is worse in Springfield, Missouri than either Kansas City or St. Louis according to this new ranking as it's listed as the 24th most polluted in America.
It's the "customer satisfaction" aspect of this ranking that I don't fully understand. Does this mean that the dirty cities citizens have just accepted their filthy reality the best? Hey, it's a valid question.
