Another area non-profit has stepped up to help those affected by the coronavirus situation.

The Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri has created a COVID-19 Nonprofit Emergency Response Fund to direct resources to community based organizations responding to and affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Grant requests will be prioritized for non-profits providing basic needs and services. Requests from individuals and families will also be accepted.

The area served by the Community Foundation includes Adams, Brown, Hancock and Pike counties in Illinois and Clark, Lewis, Marion, Ralls, Pike, Knox, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri.

Tax-deductible donations to the fund can be made to the Community Foundation online or by mail.
