Carthage Man Injured and Ticketed in Hancock County Crash

A Carthage man is injured and ticketed as the result of a one vehicle crash on County Road 1800 E in Carthage just before 6 a.m. Friday.

The Illinois State Police reports Cory Twaddle was westbound when his pickup ran off the road, through a wire and fence and overturned.

Twaddle was hospitalized with major injuries.

He was charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, no seat belt, illegal transportation of open alcohol and no proof of insurance.

The investigation into the crash continues and authorities say more charges may be filed later.
