Bus-Car Collision Injures 5

(Nauvoo, Ill)—A total of 5 people were rushed to hospitals after a car and a school bus collide in Hancock, County Illinois.  The accident happened around 4 p.m. Friday on a gravel road near Nauvoo.  The collision caused the bus to turn onto its side.

Six students are reported to have been in the bus when it crashed.  The driver and one student suffered injuries requiring  treatment at area hospitals. Three people in the car were also injured.

The accident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
