Last year, Buc-ee's opened their first ever Missouri location in Springfield. It looks like they aren't done with just that one store as there is a confirmed report that they just scoped out a plot of land in Missouri again.

Good catch by KMBC in Kansas City that reported there is an online record showing that Buc-ee's registered a 'preliminary plat' of this lot in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

This is an area where 110th Street meets Interstate 70 in the Kansas City area that is located right next to Kansas Speedway. If you think about it, that's a perfect place for a new Buc-ee's as it's near the most-traveled part of I-70 and it will be a convenient stop for NASCAR fans going to and from the annual race. Wonder if they'll carry Chase Elliott t-shirts? (Asking for a friend)

One interesting twist is the Kansas Speedway reportedly owns this lot that Buc-ee's is looking at. I wonder if there's a racing partnership imminent?

I have to admit something quickly. Technically, this land is in Kansas (barely), but since I have a deep conviction that Missouri should annex all of the Kansas part of Kansas City, it's a mere technicality.

This is obviously very early in the process of a new Buc-ee's coming to Missouri (or near it anyway), but it's exciting the America's most popular convenience store chain sees Missouri as a growth area.

As of this writing, I've not seen any confirmation from Buc-ee's that they will really build on this land. I'll happily update once they do.
