Marion County Jail inmates are without hot water.

Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says maintenance was performed on the system last week and problems were found with the boiler. Shinn says they’re able to provide one hot meal a day through the Hannibal Nutrition Center and the kitchen staff is providing two cold meals. Cooking and cleaning on site aren’t possible because of the lack of hot water for sanitation. A new boiler is on order. It could arrive as soon as today.
