Assault Charge Follows Argument in Louisiana

A Louisiana man is charged with felony assault.

51-year-old Shaun Ross is accused of pushing a woman down a flight of 18 stairs at an apartment in downtown Louisiana on the evening of July 9. Authorities reported that the two got into an argument and began pushing each other. Police said Ross told them he did not mean for the woman to be hurt.

The apartment is above the restaurant Ross owns. The victim was treated at Pike County Memorial Hospital.

A court date had not been set as of Friday.
