The Hannibal Arts Council invites and encourages area residents and artists to enter artwork showcasing Hannibal ’s parks in an upcoming exhibit and competition in partnership with the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department.  Artwork should be dropped off at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S Main St from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4 or Tuesday, February 5.

Requirements to enter work in the exhibit and competition include: entries must feature one of Hannibal’s parks, the exhibit is open to youth and adults of all ages, any 2-D and 3-D media are acceptable, up to two pieces may be submitted, all pieces should be at least 11 by 14 inches in dimension (including frame for 2-D) and no larger than 37 inches in the longest dimension, all works must be properly framed with hanging wire on back and if submitting 3-D piece(s) a pedestal or appropriate display is required.

There is a $5 entry fee per entry to include piece(s) in the exhibit.  All entry fees will be applied towards prizes. Prizes totaling $575 will be awarded in Adult and Youth divisions.  Pieces may be for sale and will be subject to the HAC commission policy (10% will go to HPR).

The public is invited to attend the opening reception 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 8 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main St .  Through March 24 the Hannibal Arts Council gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The HAC gallery is closed on Tuesdays and Sundays.
