An investigation into an over year-and-a-half old murder case results in an arrest Monday.

Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha reports the arrest of Steven Gavin in connection with the death of 48-year-old Carlous Wires, Sr. in November of 2015.

Gavin has been charged with four counts of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery.

Quincy Police were called to a residence in the 700 block of North 4th around 11:45 p.m. November 23, 2015 and found Wires, who was pronounced dead just after midnight.

Gavin is in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
