Armed Robber Comes Up Empty in Quincy

A late night armed robbery at a Quincy convenience store is under investigation.

Quincy Police say a black male wearing a hoodie and covering on his face and arms entered the Ayerco at 2600 North 12th at 10:45 p-m and demanded money. Police say the employee locked himself in a back room and the suspect left in an unknown direction without taking cash. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
