After some questions about his health and a shoulder injury, James Franklin is introduced as Mizzou's QB  tonight.  But Corbion Berkstresser gets the first snap. Crowd isn't as big as it was for Georgia last Saturday. Somewhere at or near 70 thousand.
I see where TC almost tripped over the doormat as they entered the Big 12 today. TCU 20 kU 6.
Missouri 10 Arizona State 0 after 1 quarter. No hangover from the Georgia loss.  ASU defense is smallish.  Quick & fast, but small. I have to wonder how they'll be after 2 and a half to three quarters of pounding. ASU offense looks a bit smallish too.
HALFTIME Missouri 17 Arizona State 7
Tigers are bigger and stronger on both sides of the ball. ASU's quickenss has resulted in some pressure on Corbin Berkstresser.  Not a bad first half overall.  Total offense at halftime Missouri 150 yards on 46 plays. ASU 93 yards on 26 plays.
AFTER THREE QUARTERS Missouri 24 Arizona State 7
Mizzou is hit and miss on offense. moved the ball well at times, but they've also had trouble with penalties and some other execution problems. Tigers have also used Dorial Green Beckham as a ball carrier on three or four jet sweeps. Tiger defense has been pretty decent. ASU's second TD came follwing a botched snap on a punt. Sun Devils score on a 36 yard drive for their second TD.
Tigers dodge a bullet
Tigers look a bit sloppy in the 4th quarter. The offense has sputtered. Andrew Baggett missed a 48 yard field goal. The snap was off target and low. TJ Moe did a good jobn to give Baggett any chance at the kick.
ASU took over at their own 30. Sheldon Richardson helps ASU along with a face mask penalty. An iffy defensive pass interference call in the end zone makes it first and goal at the 8. ASU gives back 10 yards on consecutive false starts. Kony Ely dumps the QB on 3rd and goal at the 1. The threat ends with an incomplete pass into the end zone on 4th down.
Missouri goes 3 and out and bollixes punt coverage. ASU starts at the MU 21. Sheldon Richardson and Andrew WIlson with big hits on first and second downs. Kenronte Walker intercepts a hurried throw and returns it to the Tigers 49 to ice the game.
Tigers got away with resting on that 24-7 lead.
