The continued drop in river levels in Hannibal results in the reopening of the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center.

Officials with the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department announce that the center on Warren Barrett Drive will reopen to the public at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Among the regular activities that will now resume and/or move back to the rec center are Monday night Drop-In Pickleball and Wednesday afternoon senior dances.

The regular hours at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 to 5 Friday.

The Mississippi River at Hannibal dropped below 22 feet around midday Monday. That’s still six feet above flood stage.
