According to the website thegetaway.com, Naperville, Illinois is one of the 10 safest cities in the US, with cities like Fort Collins, Colorado, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Thousand Oaks, California. So what is it about this large and friendly suburb of Chicago that makes it belong on this list? Well, according to the website they say...

It is great to see a place in the state of Illinois get recognized in this way because so often the state is marred with bad headlines that politicians use against us that mainly reflect Chicago and not the rest of the state. If you haven't been to Naperville it really is a charming town, the riverwalk downtown is pretty, and there is so much shopping, as well as a ton of great spots for a drink and a bite to eat.
