(HANNIBAL)—565 thousand dollars is the  goal for this year’s fundraising campaign for the United Way of the Mark Twain Area. This year’s campaign kickoff was combined with the popular 7th Annual Taste of Missouri event at the Quality Inn and Suites.

Paddlewheel Popcorn was voted best snack. Best Appetizer went to the Shelby County Senior Citizens. Best Dessert was won by Chocolaterie Stam, and  the Monroe City Nutrition Center won Best Main Dish, in addition to Best of Show.
