"It was a wonderful evening, with great entertainment and dancing, and we look forward to next year," said Wendy Harrington, President/CEO, Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation. "We are so thankful to those who supported our Sweetheart Swing. Their support of the event is in fact support of our cardiology patients as 100% of the event's proceeds benefit the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation’s HelpingHearts, the Cardiology Services Patient Assistance Fund. This fund will assist in fostering the healing process of our community’s cardiology patients in their time of need."

The HelpingHearts Fund is among three Patient Assistance Funds established by the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation. Other Patient Assitance Funds include the Life.Light.Hope. Fund which assists cancer patients, and the Back in Motion Fund which offers access to equipment and services to orthopedic patients.

2014 marked the fifth year for the Sweetheart Swing, which was again held at the Quality Inn & Suites in Hannibal. The evening included dinner and live music from the Smooth Sounds Band from Quincy, in addition to a vocal performance by the Hannibal Heartbeats, comprised of Hannibal Medical Campus professionals: Mrs. Linda Dinges, Mrs. Grace Keith, Mrs. Karen Hiller, Mrs. Carol Wilhoit, Mrs. Julie Leverenz, Mrs. Susan Wathen and Mrs. Sherri Robison.
