The Palmyra Panthers' road to the Edward Jones Dome came to an end Saturday afternoon with a 27-2 loss to South Callaway.

The Bulldogs scored twice in the first half on runs by quarterback Troy Hentges and running back Cory Hanger. South Callaway didn't put the game away until the fourth quarter, as Hanger and running back Mason Shoemaker scored down the stretch.

Palmyra's only score came on a safety with 1:14 left in the game.

The Panthers' season with a 9-5 record. The Bulldogs stay unbeaten as they take on Lamar in the Class 2 state championship game Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.
