If you receive Medicaid in Wisconsin, you should be aware of a recent data breach which may have made your private information exposed according to a statement by the state health authorities.

This bulletin issued by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services said that Disability Rights Wisconsin had what they call "a security incident". This data breach may have exposed the private information of 19,150 Wisconsin Medicaid members. The alert says that letters have been sent as recent as June 21, 2024 to those whose information may have been compromised.

The statement by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services says that those who were compromised in this security attack will receive "free credit monitoring for one year" plus there will be access to a dedicated call center for concerns or complications.

You can call 888-733-3814 from 8:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday with questions. The call center went live on Monday, June 24 according to the bulletin from the state of Wisconsin.
