West Quincy Pedestrian Accident

(WEST QUINCY)—A Quincy woman is recovering from serious injuries after she was hit by a car in West Quincy at 11:45 Thursday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol says 72 year old Joan Meredith attempted to cross the road and was hit by a car driven by 83 year old Dorothy Leffers of Quincy. Meredith was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment. The accident happened near the West Quincy Pawn Shop.  Marion County Sheriff’s deputies and Palmyra Rural firefighters assisted.
