(QUINCY)—West Central Illinois Task Force agents report  two arrests following the search of a residence at 1122 North 11th street in Quincy.

Authorities say 21-year-old Alexis Kaufman for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and meth precursors. Prior to use of a search warrant, task force agents observed 22-year-old James Knowles of Springfield leave the residence on foot. Knowles fled from agents and was apprehended at 10th and Cherry. Knowles was arrested on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant for a parole violation and Adams and Pike County warrants for traffic offenses.

Knowles and Kaufman were taken to the Adams County Jail. A seven-month-old child in the residence was turned over to a family member. Illinois Department of Children and Family Services will investigate.
