A St. Louis man pleaded guilty Friday to charges filed in connection with a lockdown last year at Culver Stockton College in Canton.

During a plea hearing in Lewis County Circuit Court, 19 year old Maxwell Webber pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of felonious restraint. As part of a plea agreement, additional charges of unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and attempted robbery were dropped.

Webber is alleged to have threatened another student with a gun on the Culver Stockton campus last November 29th.

Webber’s case had been scheduled to go to trial Wednesday in Adair County on change of venue.

Webber’s sentencing is set for July 31st.
