Video Gambling Machines Are Now Open in Barry
The Barry Travel Plaza, one of the first establishments in the area to receive a gaming license from the Illinois Gaming Board, has installed five video gaming machines at its Barry, IL location.
The five machines were installed on October 19, 2012 and have undergone a week of testing and are now open to the public.
The devices are casino quality, 28 game machines and are located in a separate gaming room from the convenience store. The machines pay out winnings similar to any casino with a slip printed by the gaming machine that is fed into a cash vault which dispenses the cash.
The gaming room is open from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. each day. Entrance to the gaming room is limited to those 21 years of age and older.
