Claire McCaskill Wins Against Todd Akin

Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill has been re-elected to the U.S. Senate. She defeated Republican challenger Todd Akin, who damaged his chances when he said in a TV interview that women's bodies have ways of avoiding pregnancy in what he called "legitimate rape." Akin apologized for the remark but refused calls from his own party to quit the race.
